An unusual episode reveals the municipality of Móstoles, in Madrid, Spain . In late January, a 54-year-old man, who was about to be evicted from the house he allegedly shared with his father for owing rent, jumped from a third story. Although he suffered serious injuries, he was fortunately able to save his life. However, when firefighters entered the house, they found a situation that left them stunned: the mummified corpse of an 83-year-old man, who had been dead for about 18 months.

The man who jumped out of the apartment was identified as José Manuel Cobos, and the body belonged to his father.

According to local media, firefighters found the body under the bed in one of the rooms of the house.

After what happened, the researchers are now trying to discover the cause of death of the old man, who according to some estimates would have died in the summer of 2020, since during June of that year it was the last time he was seen alive.

As the newspaper El Mundo stated , Cobos worked in the construction business until a decade ago, when he became unemployed.

Also, according to the local media, the man moved to Móstoles with his father in 2014, after separating from his wife.
